This 16 W RGB+CCT fibre optic light engine is the light source for a fibre optic star ceiling: it feeds up to 550 fibres Ø 0.75 mm (or up to 300 fibres Ø 1.0 mm) on each of the two outputs (both outputs are controlled together – they do not form two independent zones). Colour runs across the full RGB range plus white from 2700 K to 6500 K, and the twinkle effect has adjustable speed. Control: RF remote included and the iStar Lighting app over Bluetooth.
12 V DC supply, aluminium housing without a fan – it runs silently and fits above a stretch or suspended ceiling. Fibres are chosen separately (reel or ready-made bundle) – see “Choosing the fibres”.

Control – RF remote and the iStar Lighting app
The included RF remote handles on/off, colour, brightness and twinkle speed. Full control (scenes, on/off schedule, music mode) comes with the free iStar Lighting app (Android / iOS) over Bluetooth:
- Power the light engine and switch on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the iStar Lighting app (the app asks for an account or a login).
- Choose “Add device”.
- Restart the light engine as prompted by the app and finish adding it.
The QR codes for downloading the app are in the PDF manual (“Documentation” block).
Installing the fibres in the ceiling
Schematic diagram in the gallery (the light engine in the drawing may differ from this model): 1 – drill the holes in the ceiling, 2 – glue the fibres, 3 – cut off the excess after installation. The bundle connects to the light engine through the Ø 22 mm inlet. We recommend a qualified installer for fitting and wiring.
Safety rules (from the manual): disconnect the power before installation, connection and cleaning; supply only 12 V DC from a power supply of adequate rating; indoor use only, do not install in damp places; keep it ventilated – do not cover the light engine; do not open the housing; do not look directly into the lit socket.
Choosing the fibres
The fibre count depends on the diameter: with Ø 0.75 mm each output takes up to 550 fibres, with Ø 1.0 mm up to 300. Example: 550 fibres × 4 m = 2200 m, so a 2700 m reel leaves about 500 m spare (before trimming and route differences – start by measuring the farthest point). A ready-made bundle of 550 fibres Ø 0.75 mm, 4 m long, fits each output.
