This 50 W RGBW fibre optic light engine is the light source for a fibre optic star ceiling: it feeds up to 1400 fibres Ø 0.75 mm (or up to 800 fibres Ø 1.0 mm) from a single output. RGB colours are complemented by a separate cool-white 6500 K channel (no colour-temperature adjustment); the twinkle effect is set from the app and the panel. Control: touch wall panel and the My Smart LED app over Bluetooth.
24 V DC supply, aluminium housing with a fan (leave an air path) – it fits above a stretch or suspended ceiling. Fibres are chosen separately (reel or ready-made bundle) – see “Choosing the fibres”.

Control – touch panel and the My Smart LED app
The flush-mounted touch wall panel (CR2032 battery) sets colour, brightness and twinkle without a phone. The My Smart LED app (Android / iOS) connects to the light engine over Bluetooth:
- Power the light engine and switch on Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the My Smart LED app – it detects the light engine by itself.
- Do not pair the device manually in the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
The light engine connects to one phone at a time; on Android the manual requires location to be enabled. App requirements may change with updates.

Preparing the fibre bundle
Work with the power disconnected: 1 – align the fibre ends and wrap the bundle with heat-resistant tape (above 130 °C); 2 – pass the bundle through the connector and tighten the nut so that all fibres lie in one plane; 3 – cut the bundle face flat with a hot knife or blade; 4 – check that the face is smooth and clean, so every fibre lights evenly; 5 – slide the connector with the bundle into the light engine’s mounting ring and tighten the ring screw.
Installing the fibres in the ceiling
Schematic diagram in the gallery (the light engine in the drawing may differ from this model): 1 – drill the holes in the ceiling, 2 – glue the fibres, 3 – cut off the excess after installation. The bundle connects to the light engine through the Ø 35 mm inlet. We recommend a qualified installer for fitting and wiring.
Safety rules (from the manual): disconnect the power before installation, connection and cleaning; supply only 24 V DC from a power supply of adequate rating; indoor use only, do not install in damp places; keep it ventilated – do not cover the light engine or block the fan; do not open the housing; do not look directly into the lit socket.
Choosing the fibres
The fibre count depends on the diameter: with Ø 0.75 mm the light engine takes up to 1400 fibres, with Ø 1.0 mm up to 800. Example: 550 fibres × 4 m = 2200 m, so a 2700 m reel leaves about 500 m spare (before trimming and route differences – start by measuring the farthest point). Fibres from a reel are cut to length – the match of a specific kit to the light engine is confirmed in the quotation.
