The Mi-Light (MiBoxer) PZ5 is a Zigbee RGBW LED strip controller – a 5-in-1 unit built on the Zigbee 3.0 standard with an additional 2.4G RF receiver. One device drives single-colour, CCT (warm/cool white), RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT strips – the output mode is switched with the SET button on the housing. Up to 20 A (10 A per channel) powers long strip runs without an amplifier. App control needs a Zigbee 3.0 gateway such as the ZB-Box2 wired Zigbee 3.0 gateway; the two-mode (single colour / CCT) version of this series is the PZ2 Zigbee CCT LED strip controller.
Ways to control it
- App and voice – through a Zigbee 3.0 gateway (MiBoxer, Tuya Smart / Smart Life); once paired with a gateway, Alexa / Google voice control. Also works with Zigbee 3.0 ecosystems: Philips Hue, IKEA TRÅDFRI, Amazon Echo Plus.
- Mi-Light 2.4G RF remotes and wall panels – up to 30 m range, single zone or groups.
- PUSH button – dimming and on/off with an ordinary momentary switch.
- DMX512 – in RGB+CCT mode with the FUTD01 transmitter (sold separately).
Compatible remotes and panels (2.4G RF, purchased separately)
FUT100, FUT089S, FUT089 RGB+CCT remote / FUT089-B, FUT088, FUT092 RGB+CCT remote / FUT092-B, FUT096 RGBW remote / FUT096-B and the B8 wall panel. The controller also relays the remote signal between receivers (another 30 m of range per device) and synchronises dynamic modes.
